In this fun and non-threatening class you
will realize we are using experiential anatomy and the principles of
Alexander Technique’s neuromuscular retraining to develop and enhance
balance, tension release, and coordination in the context of the Argentine
Tango. Develop your awareness, sensitivity, vulnerability, and independence
through this unique couples dance. We will emphasize the connection to
ourselves, our partners and the earth.
These
initial classes will explore how dance can help with various neuromuscular
afflictions such as MS, Parkinson’s etc. A caregiver is required to
partner each student. Please wear leather soled shoes or thin socks. Do not
wear street shoes.
